Meet the Concept Music Agency!

A few weeks ago Paul from Concept Music Agency commissioned me to shoot some head shots for him and we got chatting about his fab company - the Concept Music Agency. It sounded really interesting so I asked if he'd like to feature on our 'meet the supplier' section of the blog and I'm delighted to say he said yes! Here is what he had to say .....

Helen & Mike's truly gorgeous Christmas wedding

On the 30th December I shot my last wedding of 2011 and what a fab occasion it was.


Helen and Mike got married at the lovely Christ Church on the Stray and followed this with a gorgeous reception at Rudding Park. As you may remember from my post a couple of weeks ago - the weather was not kind to us - in fact it was down right mean - but that's the one thing we can never change and in all honesty, it meant we had a bit of fun with a few umbrellas and puddle dodging!


Helen's colour scheme of rich purple for her bridesmaids and ivory for her flowers fit beautifully with the Christmas decorations - and her table decorations with black trim just set the room up nicely.
The flowers were stunning - provided by the lovely Sharon from Blush Bespoke Flowers. Sharon even added a touch of holly to Helens bouquet - a personal reminder of a sadly missed family pet.

An interesting first week back!!

Local MP school visits and prepared vegetables!! ....

Well the first week back after Christmas is normally very quiet here - a time to get lots of the boring stuff done before the hectic wedding season starts. However, not this week. After starting to promote my commercial photography more I suddenly got a few bookings in the diary - and how diverse these were!!

Umbrellas! A sneak peek at Helen & Mikes very wet wedding 30th December 2011

Happy New Year!

Last week I was very privileged to shoot my last wedding for 2011, Helen and Mike's wedding in Harrogate - and what a fabulous day it was!

Despite the awful weather (rain and wind in abundance!) this wedding was truly beautiful from start to finish. The folks at Christ Church on the Stray were fab - nothing was too much trouble and the service was gorgeous - then on to the stunning Rudding Park which was elegantly decorated to suit the occasion.

Helen and Mike are currently away on their honeymoon (hopefully much warmer than we are here!) but I thought I'd share a sneak peek. Helen had a couple of umbrellas made up in anticipation of nasty weather and I thought they were great - "Get me to the church on time" for before the ceremony and "Mr & Mrs Worden" for afterwards - what a lovely personal touch and very practical too .....

I will be sharing more from the gorgeous wedding once the happy couple return from honeymoon so look out for it in a few weeks time.

A New Year - a new offer!

As we are about to step into 2012 I have been reviewing my business - as I'm sure lots of other people do.  A new year brings fresh ideas, new projects and hopefully new vitality to your business. There will be some of you who are embarking on completely new projects or maybe your setting up on your own for the first time, or you may even be looking to move to pastures new.
Over the past few years I have done lots of work with local businesses - whether it be shooting head shots for their websites, product shots for their promotional material or even launch parties and fashion shoots.
I have now decided to have an official commercial section to my business - aiming specifically at those new projects for start up businesses - or those who simply want to revamp their existing websites.

Danielle & Mark's new addition - gorgeous baby Bryson

It's always lovely when I get to see couples again after shooting their weddings and last week I was delighted to hear from Danielle with her news of the new addition to her and Mark's family, the gorgeous 11 week old baby Bryson!

Danielle decided that she'd like to have some pictures of Bryson to give to her family for Christmas and of course, I was delighted to be asked.

Bryson was perfectly behaved throughout the shoot giving us a few awake shots and sleeping shots - exactly what his mum was after. Here are a few of the shots we took .....
